For my client based in Zug, I am looking for a PowerBuilder Developer

My client is is one of the world's largest suppliers of a wide range of commodities and raw materials to industrial consumers. Their commercial counterparts are both producers and industrial consumers. Thier role is to be a reliable and competitive partner to businesses in the segments of the market which they serve and to support these businesses as they expand and develop.

The successful candidate will be involved in the day to day support of my client’s existing PowerBuilder International Commodities Trading System while also helping to identify improvements to the current system and working on future releases.

Tasks

Implement Request for Change in my client’s Trading System
Implement and design business logic
Define and realise reporting solutions
Guarantee consistent code
Follow development and quality standards
Perform functional testing
Design and implement deployment package
Communicating with internal clients, other team members and project leaders
Support the Team and Project Leader with effort estimations and status reporting
Document final product

The Skillset

Experience in PowerBuilder 9.0 or higher
Experienced with developing on an Oracle database system and implementing business logic with PL/SQL
Strong analysis and problem solving skills
Some knowledge of the commodity trading business would be a plus. In any case a flair for understanding new business areas is a must
Flexibility and self responsibility
Self motivated, enthusiastic individual who is a true team player and has experience working in teams.
Good English, German would be a plus.
